Former Real Madrid player, Arjen Robben, claims his decision to leave the club to sign for Bayern was the best decision he made in his career

Former Real Madrid player, Arjen Robben, is about to start his tenth season for Bayern Munich after spending the two years prior to that playing for the Spanish giants.

Robben, who is about to turn 35, only has good things to say about the German club despite suffering a multitude of muscle injuries. Because of this, the season in which the Dutch international made the most appearances for Bayern came back in 2031/14, when he played just 28 times.

This Friday his team will make their Bundesliga debut against Hoffenheim and the forward spoke about his career. "I am always realistic and aware that the football world is constantly changing. It could have been different. After my debut at Groningen, I spent two years at PSV. It was a big step for me to leave home at just 18. I went abroad at 20 to join a big club in Chelsea. After two years at Madrid, I made the decision to come to Bayern."

It was a difficult decision to make but one he feels was ultimately worth it. "At first I was sceptical, I didn't know if it was the right decision. But now I can say it is the best decision of my career," concluded the talented Dutch man.
