Fans of the Italian side believe a move for Messi could happen following comments from one of their main sponsors

Could Leo Messi join Inter Milan? This is the ultimate dream for fans of the Italian side following the comments from Pirelli's general director, who are Inter's main sponsor. 'Tuttosport' have published some words from the executive which have left the door open for a potential move for Messi.

The Serie A wants to re-establish itself in European football following Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at Juventus. Newspapers are now suggesting that a team might try to sign Messi next.

Pirelli's director, Tronchetti Provera, said this on the matter: "How could you say no to Messi? I hope that Suning Group, once Financial Fair Play approves it, will be able to make a huge signing," is what 'Tuttosport' leads with. Their front cover today is essentially the idea of prolonging the Cristiano vs Messi rivalry.

Pirelli has a huge influence at Inter. The company wouldn't however contribute to Messi's wages should a hypothetical transfer come to fruition. It's believed that Fiat are helping Juventus pay for Cristiano's significant salary.

ICARDI WON'T LEAVE

Provera was also asked about Mauro Icardi's future at the club. The Argentinian striker is often linked with a move to Real Madrid: "I believe and hope that he'll stay at Inter. I believe the club will keep hold of him."
