The free agents the incoming Barcelona president could sign

Barcelona's crisis has left many looking to the future to avoid thinking about the present. Given the disappointing reality around the club at the moment, it's about imagining the better times ahead. A renewed team, new players and a breath of fresh air. 

The club's financial situation complicates things but there is one avenue for the future Barcelona president to pursue: players that will be avaialble for free in the summer. 

Economic problems across football have held up contract renewals for some of the game's best players, starting with Lionel Messi, who already wanted to leave in last summer. We will see what happens in June. 

Among those out of contract at the end of the season that have already been sounded out by Ronald Koeman and Barça are Eric Garcia (Manchester City), Memphis Depay (Olympique Lyon) and Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool).

In June, a number of other players once linked with Barça are also out of contract, like Sergio Aguero (Man City) and Angel Di Maria (Paris Saint-Germain).

There are other interesting cases, like David Alaba (Bayern Munich). He's a player that's always been on Barça orbit and could fill a position in defence. Real Madrid are also keen. 

One of the other players is Sergio Ramos, who's in talks with Madrid over a new deal but hasn't agreed terms yet, and AC Milan goalkeeper Donnaruma, who's said he would like to renew.
