Barça didn't make the payment because the player left for PSG

However, Neymar and his father feel the club should still have made the payment

Neymar Junior is preparing his legal strategy to take to FIFA after Barcelona confirmed they would not pay a 26 million euro bonus as part of last year's contract renewal.

According to Globoespore, Neymar and his father believe they are owed the money, despite leaving for Paris Saint-Germain. But Barça's interpretation is that the agreement was broke when the player paid his 222 million euros buyout clause last week.

Barça didn't pay the money and Josep Vives revealed the reasons, citing Neymar's talks and subsequent move to PSG. The player still feels he should be paid it, though, and will take the case to FIFA if there is not a friendly agreement -- something which is unlikely.

Neymar notified Barça officially that he wanted the money, but the club deposited with a notary until it was decided whether he would move to PSG or not.

When he did leave, Barcelona revealed that Neymar was therefore not due the money, despite Neymar Sr. demanding the payment which he feels they are still due.
