The English club are not keen on letting the centre-back leave in January

Chelsea are not prepared to lose Danisgh defender Andreas Christensen, one of the centre-backs Barcelona have looked at in case they need a replacement for Samuel Umtiti, who's still suffering with a knee issue, in January. According to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea will not sell the player.

An important player under Antonio Conte at Stamdofrd Bridge, Christensen has not featured as much under new coach Sarri. He's not had regular minutes and that's made him think about making a move in the winter.

However, Chelsea's general director, Marina Granovskaia, says the 22-year-old will not be on the market and is not a player who will be on the move in January.

Barça are weighing up whether to make a short-term move to cover he possible long-term absence of Umtiti. The France defender has so far refused surgery but it remains an option if the treatment he's set to undergo in Qatar this month does not help.
