The Barcelona star scored one and created another against PSV on Wednesday

UEFA have named Leo Messi as the Player of the Week in the Champions League. The Barcelona forward's performance in the 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday saw him pocket the prize.

Messi scored a brilliant goal against the Dutch side, starting the move on the halfway line before finishing inside the area after exchanging passes with Ousmane Dembele.

He then set up Barça's second, scored by Gerard Pique, as the Blaugrana sealed top spit in Group B.

The Argentine has started the European campaign in fine form. He's only played three games -- missing the double header against Inter -- but has scored six goals and created one.

After each of his three appearances he has been named as the Player of the Week by UEFA.
