There were six players in total who didn't turn up at the  Ciutat Esportiva although the five, aside from Messi, all have different reasons for not being there. Coutinho, Pjanic, Umtiti, de Jong and Semedo were the other absentees. Coutinho is still on holiday following Bayern's triumph in the Champions League. Pjanic and Umtiti are still in self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 previously. De Jong and Semedo will undergo PCR tests with their respective national teams.

Everyone else, even those Ronald Koeman doesn't want next season, attended and had their PCR test. The results of which will be revealed soon.
