The Italian club have been linked with a summer bid for the Croatian international

Piero Ausilio, Inter Milan's sporting director, has not denied that the Italian club are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic this summer.

Ausilio didn't confirm the rumours, either, instead opting to attempt to deflect away from the latest rumours linking Rakitic with a move to the Serie A club.

Asked about Inter's interest in the Croatian bu DAZN, he said: "Rakitic? You speak about that... We don't speak about next season's team. Right now we're only thinking about how our current players can improve in the best way possible. We will think about other things in the future."

Remember that reports in Italy say Inter would pay 90 million euros for the World Cup runner up, whose release clause is 120 million. In addition, they would pay him an annual salary of five million, similar to what he earns at Camp Nou, where his deal runs until 2021.
