FC Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic is waiting for the club to open negotiations over a new and improved contract. This is something he was promised by the president, Josep María Bartomeu, but as yet no movement has been forthcoming.
Whilst Rakitic waits for talks to begin, his agent has been speaking in Italy. Arturo Canales said this: "Ivan wants to leave Spain in the summer? That's impossible," responded the representative in light of reports Inter Milan are interested in him.
Since the signing of Frenkie De Jong was confirmed, it's only increased suggestions that Rakitic will have to leave the club. He won't be short of offers should this happen as both PSG and Chelsea would love to add the Croatian to their squads.
