Agent Raiola is keeping all the interested parties waiting in a bidding war

That Matthijs de Ligt has put his future in the hands of Mino Raiola is a message for any club that wants to sign him.

Frenkie de Jong had enough of the speculation and agreed to join Barcelona in January. The younger De Ligt, only 19, is still waiting for his future to be resolved by his agent.

FIVE OPTIONS

The Dutch defender has five big clubs chasing him: Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona.

Raiola wants to know who can offer more. He's looking for the best financial option for his client and for himself in what has developed into one of the game's biggest soap operas.

PREFERENCES

United are likely to give up as they are unable to offer De Ligt Champions League football. Although there's no problem there for Raiola. But, along with Juve, they look the least likely to sign the centre-back.

The three most likely options are PSG, Liverpool and Barça. Although for the agent there are only two, as he feels Barça aren't compromising to meet his demands.

For Raiola, PSG's the best option, or even Liverpool, the latest to join the list. But De Ligt, influenced by De Jong, is keen to move to Barça but he's happy to be the centre of a bidding war.

We're getting there. The final battle is in sight but there's still no final decision from De Ligt or Raiola.
