Dembele's agent responds: We know he has things to improve, but it's normal at his age
Moussa Sissoko spoke about Dembele's punctuality problems in recent weeks
Ousmane Dembele's agent, Moussa Sissoko, has spoken about the stories regarding the Barcelona forward's lack of discipline at the club.
In comments to RMC Sports, Sissoko assured that "Ousmane is playing for a great club, the coach [Ernesto Valverde] appreciates him, as does [Didier] Deschamps with France, and I know that [Barca sporting director Eric] Abidal is really happy with what he's doing, he knows he's training well."
The agent lamented the criticism Dembele's receiving: "Fortunately, he knows how to ignore it. A lot of [the reports] are unfounded. We are aware he has things to improve, but it's normal at his age.
"People are on top of him, they're talking about him being late for the Inter game, which the coach denied. Now, the stomach bug. It's true that he phoned the club a little late, but he was ill."
Sissoko finished: "He's 21, he plays for Barcelona, one of the biggest clubs in the world and he had a great start to the season. [In Barcelona] everything generates controversy, but Dembele knows who to get on with it."
