Ousmane Dembélé continues to surprise everyone with his decisions on and off the field. There's no quesion that the French winger is different to most and often makes choices that others find difficult to understand. Yesterday was another example of that.
Dembele arrived at the Camp Nou to watch the match from the stands. The winger, who wasn't named in Valverde's squad for the game, was obligated to attend to show support for his teammates. The plan was for him to then fly out to France on Monday to join up with the national team.
However Dembele opted to change all that. It's clear that the atmosphere at the Camp Nou isn't ideal at the moment and perhaps less so after a defeat. For whatever reason, Ousmane didn't stick to his original idea.
The winger contacted the private plane company he uses and decided to return to Paris ahead of schedule. Not long after the match against Betis the player went to the airport and boarded a plane to France.
