Busquets, Fati and Aleñà return to training ahead of schedule at Barça
All three were training at the Ciutat Esportiva this morning ahead of the PCR tests which take place on Sunday
Sergio Busquets, Ansu Fati and Carles Aleña were all at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this morning as they step up their fitness ahead of the new season.
The Saturday session was completely voluntary but the three senior members of the squad showed their eagerness to get started.
Busquets and Fati have returned one day ahead of schedule. They trained away from the main group as per the coronavirus protocols in place.
The duo were joined by Aleña who has been self-isolating after returning from a loan spell with Real Betis last season.
Away from the group
FC Barcelona began preseason training on the 21st August and the initial group included: Trincão, Pedri, Matheus Fernandes, Rafinha, Wague, Miranda and Oriol Busquets. And later this included Braithwaite, Gustavo Maia and Carles Aleñá.
Until Busquets and Fati have taken their PCR tests, and tested negative, they will remain away from the main group who already have a week's training under their belt.
The rest of Barça's squad, who were involved in the Champions League, will return on Sunday 30th August. Once they have completed their PCR tests, assuming their test negative also, they will begin working under Ronald Koeman on Monday.
