The former Barça defender hailed Valdes appointment after his experience with the new Juvenil A coach when he came through the ranks at the club
The current Real Betis centre back, Marc Bartra, has expressed his delight at Victor Valdes being appointed the new head coach of the Juvenil A side at FC Barcelona. In a post on his Twitter, Bartra said:
"I'm happy to see Victor Valdes return to FCB. He looked after and stood up for the youngsters who were promoted to the first team, there's no one better to look after the (new) youngsters, now as a coach. For his values and understanding fo football. Best of luck double 'V'!"
Bartra was in the first-team squad alongside Victor Valdes at Barça from 2009 until 2014 when the keeper moved to Manchester United on a free transfer.
