Bartomeu: I like seeing Ansu Fati & Carles Perez at youth football presentation
The Barça president spoke at the special event at the training ground on Wednesday
FC Barcelona president Josep María Bartomeu was delighted to see Ansu Fati and Carles Pérez, two players now with the first team, present at the presentation of the club's youth section for the season.
"I have liked seeing players like Ansu Fati and Carles Perez here, who usually play with the first team," he said. "We like that they share their work with Barça B. It's about knowing that the future is very bright, but in the present, you have to work hard."
As well as looking forward to another year of success at youth level, from the B team down, including the girls' teams, Bartomeu and Barça are also celebrating 40 years of La Masia.
"This season's presentation is extra special," the Barça chief added. "La Masia, which is recognised by everyone for its unique identity, turns 40. The magazine Forbes has labeled it the best school in the world.
"It's a guarantee of the play which Barça has made famous around the world. I am very proud that the four first-team captains all came from La Masia."
