Kluivert: "Konrad de la Fuente has it all, he just needs to score more goals"
'Sports Illustrated' have taken a look at the young American in La Masia
Konrad de la Fuente is one of the stars of Barcelona's U19 teams. The winger, born in the United States, is the centerpiece of a report in Sports Illustrated this week.
As part of the report, director of youth football Patrick Kluivert and board member Xavier Vilajoana talk about the young forward. Kluivert is very complimentary.
“I’ve spoken quite a few times with Konrad,” Kluivert told SI.com. “I think Konrad is a very bright player. He has a very good one-on-one action.
"He needs to score more, but as I say that in the last three games he has scored four goals, so that’s a good thing. I think when he continues like this next year, he will be for sure in the Barça B team.”
Barça B play in the third tier of Spanish football, so it would be a step up for Konrad, who moved to Spain when he was 10 and is now 18.
