The Catalan gave an open interview on Thursday to The Wild Project

Gerard Pique spoke to 'The Wild Project' on 'YouTube' on Thursday about a range of issues, related to Barcelona, his adolesence and his relationship with Josep Maria Bartomeu.

One of the interesting moments was when he spoke about his feelings toward Espanyol, admitting he prefers beating them to Real Madrid.

"I wanted Espanyol to come back up to be able to play at their pitch," Pique said. "Not even sex is comparable with the sensation of playing at their stadium.

"I really enjoy seeing their faces, that anger that they have. It's beautiful. I enjoy it much more against them than at Real Madrid's ground. They take it differently to Madrid."

Pique remembers the derby at Camp Nou when Barça relegated Espanyol: "We had the pleasure of sending them down and I turned up for that game on a bike, something that's not banned."

The Barça defender also defender players' rights to have a drink: "It's a taboo subject and we have to get over it. We're young people and you have to find the right moment to do it, with balance. If you can't balance it, it's your responsibility."

And he also explained why the paparazzi don't follow him anymore: "Not for about four or five years now. I threw some eggs at their cars, two made an impact and they have not returned."
