The director was optimistic about Barcelona's chances

He left the possibility of signing players in the winter window open

Barcelona’s director of institutional relations Guillermo Amor spoke to BeIN Sports after the Champions League draw which pitted the Catalans against Chelsea.

“It was maybe one of the strongest teams, but if you want to be champions you have to play against everyone,” he said, of the tie which was one of the trickiest available options.

“We take on the tie with a lot of optimism. We’re doing well and things are going well for us. We hope to arrive in the best physical condition against Chelsea, who like any good English team are strong and fit, but they also play good football.”

Asked if the team would sign anybody in January, he said: “The team is getting great results and we still have not lost. In any case, as the coach said, anything that can improve you is good. If we can reinforce or strengthen the team in any position we are open to that.”
