Gerard Pique not given penalty at end of Real Sociedad clash
Llorente shoved over Pique in the box but nothing was awarded
There was controversy at Anoeta just before the end. Gerard Pique was shoved over in the box by Diego Llorente, the Real Sociedad defender, but the referee did not give a spot kick. The game ended 2-2.
In the early stages of the game he gave La Real a penalty when Sergio Busquets did something similar - if even less obvious - on Llorente, which was scored by Mikel Oyarzabal.
The discrepancy upset Barcelona and Pique. VAR did not evaluate the second incident, allowing the referee's decision to pass.
