Jordi Alba's most prudent self on his return to the team
The left back had not played for over a month but returned at Anoeta
Jordi Alba was Barcelona's big comeback star on Saturday against Anoeta. The left back came back after a month out with a calf injury. He last played on November 5 for Barcelona in the 0-0 draw with Slavia Prague in the Champions League.
Alba's presence gave Barca their normal defence back, and he had to be alert to stop Portu who was playing on the right wing for La Real in the 2-2 draw.
The Spaniard was concentrating well in defence and didn't get forward with the vigour he sometims manages. He defended well at the back and was involved on occasion in attack, not quite ariving to get on the end of a Leo Messi cross and providing one for the Argentine which Leo could not head home.
After a solid display Valverde took him off, to not overwork him, with another injury victim, Nelson Semedo, returning in his place.
