Ansu becomes the 800th player to make his debut for Spain. According to 'MisterChip', he's the 42nd player who was born outside of Spain to make his debut. At 17 years and 308 days he becomes the second youngest player to be given his first senior cap. The record belongs to Zubieta who made his debut in 1936 at the age of 17 years and 284 days.
This brings an end to an incredible last 12 months for the player on a personal level. He started last season as part of the Juvenil A team and finishes it as an established member of both Barça and Spain's senior squads.
