García Pimienta has told the club he considers de Vega an 'untouchable' member of his Barça B team

Barça have decided to keep Lucas de Vega. The Brazilian midfielder is seen as one of the key members of Barça B's squad next season and Garcia Pimienta has told the club he shouldn't be sold. Tottenham Hotspur made a formal offer for de Vega, as revealed by SPORT, worth around €2m. Barça responded by asking for double knowing the English club won't go that high.

'Pimi' wants to build his midfield around Lucas de Vega next season. He spent last year on loan with Cartagena and impressed in their promotion success. Barça B will look to gain promotion despite losing a lot of their main players and turning to a new batch of youngsters.

Barça have made it clear they don't want to sell the midfielder and Spurs haven't returned with a second offer. Lucas de Vega has already started preseason training with the youth side.

Barça had previously turned down loan offers for de Vega and the bid from Spurs caught them off guard. They seriously considered it but decided he was needed for Barça B.
