The club's president is trying to tie down Rabiot to a new deal and avoid losing him either this summer or the next on a free transfer

PSG aren't willing to let Adrien Rabiot leave the club this summer. This is according to French newspaper 'L'Equipe' as PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi views the midfielder as 'non-transferable'.

Rabiot is after a new deal and a promise that he'll be used more often next season. PSG are willing to offer him better terms but won't match the player's demands and this has caused an impasse.

However it appears Al-Khelaifi will stick to his policy of refusing to sell players who are deemed part of the first team squad. This means, as long as Thomas Tuchel wants Rabiot in his squad, he won't be sold. The Frenchman is also someone who came up through the club's academy and is only 23 years old.

Barça want to avoid a massive fallout, such as what happened with Marco Verratti last season, and are keeping their distance. However, PSG suspect it's the footballer and his mother/agent, Veronique, who are trying to force a move to the Camp Nou rather than the Spanish club. Juventus are also said to be interested in Rabiot.

PSG are continuing the play hardball when it comes to Rabiot: either accept the new multi-million renewal or be frozen out of the squad until your contract expires next summer.
