Rabiot broke his silence in the mixed zone following PSG's loss to Bayern Munich, a match in which he was handed the captain's armband by Tuchel

PSG's central midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is a reported target for Barcelona, spoke to the media for the first time this summer but refused to comment on transfer speculation. The French man, who was captain during PSG's match against Bayern Munich, stopped to talk with the media following the end of the International Champions Cup match.

Without knowing that his coach, Thomas Tuchel, has earlier said that the midfielder's future was in his own hands, Rabiot only spoke about a few limited topics. "We arrived here with a young, inexperienced team. Lassana (Diarra), Christopher (Nkunku), Gigi (Buffon) and myself had the mission of organising them around the pitch. I'm very happy with the job we did," added Rabiot. PSG lost the game 3-1.

"The coach prepared us so that we didn't get overwhelmed by a more experienced side. We listened to his instructions, started well and showed our potential. After half time, as fatigue set in, it was more complicated," confirmed Rabiot. "We're still in our preparation stage and it's going well. We need to take advantage of this in the future. The coach is happy, the result isn't important. We're proud of how the younger players responded."
