The Real Madrid forward was worried he’d pick up a knock

Vinicius Junior has not had an easy few weeks. In an interview he confessed the fear of falling injured and not going to the World Cup.

"Rodrygo and I suffered a lot in recent games, we feared the worst, getting injured and missing the World Cup," he admitted.

The Real Madrid attacker, who was a consistent starter, said he was working to improve his odds in these situations.

"I learned a lot from Neymar when he played at Barca, he suffered a lot too. Cristiano Ronaldo, who was at Madrid, also sufered. But it was Karim who told me that I should be calm, beacause if rivals persecute you it's because you're good, they are afraid of you."

Vinicius said Nemyar was important in the Brazil dressing room.

"Neymar went through a lot as a young player, having to play at such a young age with so much pressure. So he is the one who makes sure today it's easier for the new generation. It's important what he does as leader, he knows how to help us to have a great World Cup."
