Pedri: If we win the World Cup I'll shave my head
The Spain midfielder spoke at a banana event ahead of the tournament in Qatar
Barcelona midfielder Pedri is ready to shave his head if Spain win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The youngster spoke at an event for Canarian bananas before heading to the Spain camp in Madrid.
“If we win, I’ll let the barber shave my head or I’ll do something,” said Pedri.
“We have a young national team with a lot of desire to do well and to win. That is reflected on the pitch in each game that we play. Instead of going against us, our youth is an aspect that goes in our favour.”
Spain reached the Euro 2020 semi-finals last year.
“It’s a dreamer me to be able to play them, to be here is really crazy. The truth is I take them on with a lot of enthusiasm, the same as when I played in the Euros or the Olympic Games.”
Pedri also backed Luis Enrique, the Spain coach.
“He’s the best coach for Spain, he makes us believe in the work and makes us all play better together.”
