Brazil are in the World Cup last 16 with this win

Brazil qualified for the World Cup last 16 with a narrow 1-0 win over Switzerland, thanks to Casemiro's strike.

The win was achieved without striker Neymar, out with an ankle injury that could keep him out of the rest of the tournament potentially.

Brazil were far from their sparkling best but managed to get the result they needed in the end, with Manchester United's defensive midfielder the one to make the difference late on with a driven, deflected effort.

Vinicius Junior blew one big chance in the first half, created by Raphinha, and had another goal ruled out for offside in the second.

Switzerland were on top in the second period even without playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri, who had a thigh issue.

But Casemiro's goal made the difference, sent Brazil through and left the other three in Group G scrapping for the other spot in the last game.
