No pudo contener las lágrimas: así ha explicado Bruno Soriano cómo se ha sentido tras más de 1.000 días fuera del campo / | Movistar Fútbol

The midfielder made his return in the 2-2 draw with Sevilla on Monday

It was the moment Villarreal fans had been waiting for. After being called up against Granada, but not playing, Bruno Soriano finally returned to the La Cerámica three months and one day after his last appearance. He finally left behind two operations and a number of injury problems.

The Villarreal captain wore the armband once again as he came on as a substitute in the  2-2 draw against Sevilla. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, it was in front of an empty stadium.

After the game, the Villarreal legend spoke to Movistar: "I don't really know what to say because it's been so long since I played...

"This is really important for me after working hard for so long -- of trying and not managing (to come back) many times. But you have to keep going and I will try and help the team as much as I can in what remains of the season."
