The Real Madrid defender wore a U.S basketball top to train in on Monday

Since the minute it was announced that Kobe Bryant had died on Sunday, tributes have been pouring in for the former basketball star.

Lionel Messi is among the many sportsmen and women to post message to the ex-Los Angeles Laker, while Neymar dedicated his goal to him on Sunday.

Real Madrid released a short statement posting their respects, while Sergio Ramos turned up at the club's training session in a Bryant jersey.

Before training, Zinedine Zidane's squad held a minute's silence for Bryant, with Ramos wearing a United States basketball top with Bryant's name and the No. 10.

That's the number Bryant wore when he competed for his country, winning Olympic Gold Medals in Beijing (2008) and London (2012) during his 20-year professional career.

Bryant, 41, died in a helicopter crash on Sunday in California. One of his four daughters also died in the incident, along with a number of other people on the helicopter. There were no survivors.
