INCIDENCIAS

Partido disputado en el Dacia Arena de Udine ante 25.000 espectadores.

It is the fifth time La Roja have won the competition, holding on after an 88th minute deflected strike from Amiri pulled one back for Germany.

Spain dominated at the start and moved ahead when Fabian Ruiz curled home from distance to net an impressive opener.

Germany fought back well but when goalkeeper Alexander Nubel spilled a shot and Olmo was on hand to dink the ball home neatly, it gave them a strong advantage.

“I’m speechless,” said Olmo. “The truth is to win this tournament, you have to congratulate everyone.

“I worked hard to get to here, thanks to the support of the coach who backed me and gave me minutes.

“This (trophy) is reward for everyone’s hard work.”
