The Villarreal midfielder is back in the La Roja squad after a four year absence

Spain have named a 23-man squad for the upcoming games against the Faroe Islands and Sweden on June 7 and June 10 respectively.

The headline news is that Santi Cazorla is back in the squad. The Villarreal midfielder, now 34, has not played for the national team since 2015. The last four years have been blighted by injuries and operations, but he has returned to his best this season back in Spain after leaving Arsenal.

Also worth highlighting is the inclusion of Real Sociedad winger Mikel Oyarzabal, while three Barcelona players have been called up: Sergio Busquets, Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba.

Real Madrid's Isco is also in the squad after playing more regularly under Zinedine Zidane at this club, while Iago Aspas, Morata and Rodrigo are included as the striking options.

The squad:

Goalkeepers: De Gea, Kepa, Pau López

Defenders: Ramos, Navas, Llorente, Carvajal, Hermoso, Iñigo Martínez, Gayà, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto,

Midfielders: Cazorla, Parejo, Rodri, Sergio Busquets and Fabián

Forwards: Oyarzabal, Rodrigo, Iago Aspas, Morata,  Asensio and Isco
