Sampaoli: Messi is fit to play against Spain in Madrid

Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli confirmed that Lionel Messi is fit to face Spain in Madrid at Atletico's Wanda Metropoitano on Tuesday. 

"Leo has trained normally, he's ok to play," Sampaoli said, leaving no doubt over the Barcelona forward's fitness after he missed the game against Italy on Friday. 

Sampaoli added: "If there would have been any risk, Leo would have said. Against Italy he wasn't in condition to play and he didn't. 

"He's tried two days now and unlsess the same thing happens, I don't think there will be any proble. I don't know about the relationship with Barça's medics." 

Asked again about Messi, Sampaoli continued: "It's impossible to teach Messi something (new). You have to understand him, push him in training and try and take him out of his comfort zone (in situations)."
