Mingueza & Peña make Spain U21 squad but Riqui Puig misses out

There's a strong Barça representation, past and present, in the 23-man squad

Barcelona duo Oscar Mingueza and Iñaki Peña have been included in the Spain U21 squad for this summer's European Championships-

However, Barça midfielder Riqui Puig, who has not played regularly for the first team this season, has been left out.

Juan Miranda, on loan at Real Betis, is also in the squad, while former Barça players Cuenca, Cucurella and Abel Ruiz are also included.

The full squad is: Josep, Álvaro Fernández, Iñaki Peña, Mingueza, Óscar Gil, Francés, Pedrosa, Miranda, Cuenca, Guillamón, Cucurella, Sancet, Zubimendi, Moncayola, Fran Beltrán, Gonzalo Villar, Manu García, Puado, Bryan Gil, Brahim, Yeremy, Fer Niño, Abel Ruiz.

The first half of the tournament was played during the March international break, with Spain progressing to the quarterfinals, that will be played in Slovenia and Hungary.

La Roja play Croatia on May 31 in Maribor. If they win that, they will face the winners of Portugal vs. Italy in the semifinal on June 3, also in Maribor.

The final will be played on June 6 in Ljubljana.
