Marco Asensio pleased with Spain success in Nations League
Luis Enrique's side brutally pounded Croatia 6-0 in Elche
Marco Asensio was one of the stars of the show as Luis Enrique's Spain thrashed Croatia 6-0 in Elche on Tuesday.
"It was a great game," said the Real Madrid star, who scored one, forced another and set up two more. "We're ending a get-together which went really well in every way and with our fans today we have been loved. It was really good playing here."
Against England the Real Madrid forward came on off the bench but he really shone against Croatia.
"I am always trying to give my best on the pitch and if I can score goals, all the better," added Asensio. "We have played against team that did really well in the World Cup. We saw it as a challenge and these are two important victories."
