Luis Enrique's first concession to his Spain players
The coach gave them freedom on Sunday morning after a late arrival following the England win
It was close to six on Sunday morning when Spain’s players arrived at their hotel in Elche from London. After the media, the anti-doping, the trip, it was a very late night.
Considering the performance they put in at Wembley to beat England 2-1 and the time, Luis Enrique made his first concession. He allowed the players the morning off and liberated them from having to wake up at any particular time for breakfast.
They were allowed to stay in their rooms and rest until they felt like.
Lucho was very pleased with their performance at Wembley, especially that of David de Gea, who needed a good game after his poor World Cup campaign.
