The coach says it wasn't a Swiss mistake but instead good play by Spain

Luis Enrique was pleased after Spain beat Switzerland 1-0 on Saturday in the Nations League to stay top of the group.

The coach valued the team's pressing, which led to the only goal of the game, scored by Mikel Oyarzabal.

"It was not a Swiss mistake but great work pressing by Spain that had its prize in Oyarzabal's goal," said Lucho. "It's not easy to press a defence of five that likes to sit deep and with a goalkeeper that helps, but most of the game we did well."

Luis Enrique liked the end of the game too. "I'm proud, because we didn't sit back to defend. We played in their half and that meant we did not give away chances."

He only lamented that "the second goal didn't come, because that makes it harder."

The coach also explained his experimental selection of late. "We're trying to generate competitivity, that people see everyone can play. The objective is to form a block of 23 players, all of whom know they will get their chance and when they are not playing, help."
