Luis Enrique avoids talking about his Jordi Alba snub
The coach says he won't talk about players that are not in the squad
Luis Enrique Martinez, Spain coach, refused to talk about why he is not picking Jordi Alba, whom he fell out with at Barcelona.
"I don't have a rule about not talking about players who are not on the list," said Luis Enrique, twice, when asked why he had not included the defender in his latest Spain squad, for the games against Wales and England.
"It's not a taboo topic, that's your feeling. I have not not called up a player for personal reasons, only professional reasons. There are a lot of players not on the list who should be for their level, but I can only call 23 and I am the one who takes the decisions. There are 20 more who could be here and do a good job for the national team."
