Julen Lopetegui gives permission for Pique to return to Barcelona
The coach gave the defender the nod to go back to his club
Pique cannot play against Israel because he's suspended
Gerard Pique will have time to rest and prepare for Barcelona's next game, on October 14 against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano. The defender saw yellow against Albania which means he's suspended for Spain's final and irrelevant World Cup qualifying match against Israel in Jerusalem. Spain have already won Group G.
The player was allowed by coach Julen Lopetegui to leave the squad nd return home - with David Silva also released after being booked and suspended.
Spain head to Tel Aviv at 4pm after having the morning off. They will land at 9.25pm and head to Jerusalem where they play on Monday at 8.45pm CET.
Sergio Busquets will play his 100th game for La Roja. He did not feature against Albania because of a ban.
