La Roja will play games against Israel and France at the end of March

There is no room in the squad for Sergi Roberto this time

Spain coach Julen Lopetegui has revealed the players that will form his squad for the World Cup qualifier against Israel and the friendly against France later this month.

La Roja will play Israel at El Molinon in Gijon on Mar. 24 and then, four days later, will play France in Saint-Denis.

Those called up will meet on Mar. 20 at the Ciudad del Fubol, where they will begin to prepare for the two games.

The big news is the inclusion of two former Barcelona players in Gerard Deulofeu and Pedro, who are in a Lopetegui squad for the first stime.

"Gerard didn't have continuity in his side before [Everton] but he's been an important player for Milan. He's progressed and he can help us," Lopetegui said.

Also in the squad is Real Sociedad midfielder Asier Illarramendi.

However, there is no room for Sergi Roberto, who was in the last squad but "on this occasion we thought it was the right moment to call up other players, it's not for any reason other than that. It's not that he's not doing well."

This is the squad:

Goalkeepers: De Gea, Reina, Rico

Defenders: Alba, Azpilicueta, Monreal, Nacho, Pique, Javi Martinez, Sergio Ramos, Carvajal

Midfielders: Ander Herrera, Busquets, Illarramendi, Iniesta, Isco, Thiago, Koke, David Silva

Forwards: Pedro, Morata, Diego Costa, Deulofeu, Aspas, Vitolo
