Zinedine Zidane now showing Covid-19 symptoms
The French coach was initially asymptomatic but now has cough and fever
Zinedine Zidane did not give his press conference on Friday because he had been diagnosed with Covid. David Bettoni did it in his place and was on the bench for the clash with Alaves.
Now he is isolating at home as per La Liga’s protocol. SPORT have learned that Zidane’s initial asymptomatic response to the virus has changed over the weekend. He is starting to show regular Covid-19 symptoms like cough and fever. That leaves the timing of his return in the air.
Per the protocol he has to isolate for at least 10 days, and now he has symptoms, he will have to wait for at least three days after they subside. It seems likely he will stay in isolation until at least Monday Feb 1. He will have a new test three days after the symptoms are gone.
