Zidane unhappy with penalty decision but focused on PSG
The Madrid boss wanted a clean sheet
But he was happy with the 3-1 win over Getafe
Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane was satisfied with his side's 3-1 win against Getafe as they returned to winning ways ahead of Tuesday's game against Paris Saint-Germain.
However, he was unable with the penalty given against Nacho Fernandez which allowed the visitors, who had Loic Remy sent off, to briefly get back into the game.
"I am not going to get involved with [the referee] but I didn't see a penalty," said Zidane, who was happy despite being unable to keep the clean sheet he wanted.
Gareth Bale opened the scoring and Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in the win and Zidane felt his side could have scored more if they didn't have PSG in mind.
Madrid go into the game in Paris with a 3-1 lead from the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie at the Santiago Bernabeu last month.
He added: “We had the PSG game in our heads and perhaps that’s why we eased up a bit in the second half and had a few difficulties but once they went down to 10 men it was easier for us.
“With a game like Tuesday’s coming up it was very important to be in a good mood for the next three days as when you lose you’re in a bad way, so it was very important for us to win.”
