The French coach is pleased that his team are in the last 16 of the cup

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is pleased that his team beat Unionistas de Salamanca to reach the Copa del Rey last 16. They won 3-1 on Wednesday night. Zidane said the pitch "didn't help us do what we wanted".

"I think that we can be happy because in the end we're through and we came here for that. It's a very positive game because the pitch didn't help us do what we wanted. We played very well against a Segunda B side that play direct football. I think we controlled ourselves well.

(Motivation) is always there. This is the Copa del Rey and we want to keep moving forward and keep winning. Or at least we always try to. We've given everything on the pitch without thinking they are opponents from a lower division."
