Madrid were knocked out by Leganes on Wednesday

They have now won one of their last five home matches

Zinedine Zidane blamed himself for Real Madrid's Copa del Rey KO. They were knocked out on away goals by Leganes after losing 2-1 at the Bernabeu.

"I am responsible for the defeat," he said. "It's a failure by me. I have to find solutions. I take responsibility for the situation, but I'm always going to fight."

However, after leaving Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo out, he also criticised some of his players.

"After the win against Leganes in the first leg, you can't start like that at home," he said. "I pick the team but I made mistakes in a lot of cases. It's tough. I am angry. We have to see how we are going to solve it. No one expected it."

On Leganes, he added: "It's a fair result [them progressing], they did well. We didn't defend well and they put us into trouble. We have to change things and there are games to do it.

"The solution is to work hard. I take responsibility for the situation and I am going to continue like I always have. We apologise to the fans because it's a difficult spell."

Madrid are out of the cup and 19 points off La Liga leaders Barcelona, so their hopes of winning anything lie in the Champions League. They meet Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16.
