The Real Madrid coach admitted his side struggled in the second half against Granada

Zinedine Zidane was full of praise for Granada after his Real Madrid side were made to dig deep in order to secure all three points.

"It's 90 intense minutes at a tough ground (to play in). We've won nine matches in a row. I can't ask for more than that. Although it's true in the final few minutes they hurt us. But that's understandable because Granada were very good in the second half."

Madrid's performance noticeably dropped in the second half. "I don't know if it was a lack of concentration but I didn't like us conceding a goal the way we did," confessed Zidane. "We lost possession and then we didn't play well. We needed to keep hold of the ball, we didn't do that, and in the end we were made to suffer."

"You can't see it but I'm happy. It's three more points. There are two matches left to go and we're happy."

Real Madrid could be crowned champions on Thursday if they beat Villarreal. "We have two matches left. We now have a tough game against a difficult opponent who play good football. If we win, then I'll say it. But at the moment we are happy with this victory and nothing more."
