Zidane fed up with the Morata-Benzema debate with each passing day

The Real Madrid coach spoke ahead of the Champions League game against Legia Warsaw

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is fed up with the Benzema-Morata debate. The French coach insists both players are important and both will get minutes.

“They’re two important players. Each one will get minutes. Your concerns are always the same and I will always answer in the same way. I can’t say anything else. I know what you’re looking for, but regardless of how each one plays, I’m worried about the team as a whole [not individuals],” he said.

The coach admitted that the team have not been great in defence recently: “I’m not worried, but it is a fact (we’ve conceded regularly). Each game we’ve conceded goals. Also in the cup, we conceded late on and that’s always annoying. You can’t control everything in football. Rivals will always cause problems.”

The game against Legia Warsaw in the Champions League will be strange for both teams this week as it’s played behind closed doors. For Zidane, it doesn’t benefit either side.

“There’s no advantage. I'd prefer there to be fans. This is football, though. We have to play without fans and we’re going to prepare to go out for the three points,” he added.

"We don’t know if it will be different, but we won’t change anything. The players are professionals and know the importance of the game. It happened to me once as a player, but it didn’t change anything.”
