Zidane didn't even let Bale say goodbye to the Real Madrid fans

The French coach, in his second spell at the Bernabeu, decided to use Lucas Vazquez as his final substitute rather than Bale

Zinedine Zidane's relationship with Gareth Bale is made even worse at the Santiago Bernabeu today. After being dropped from the previous two squad lists, Bale returned to the bench against Real Betis but was an unused substitute as Madrid crashed to a 2-0 defeat.

Marco Asensio, Isco and Lucas Vazquez were all preferred to the Welsh man in Real Madrid's final match of the season. This is expected to be Bale's final season in Spain and many thought he would be allowed the chance to say his farewells on the pitch, just like Keylor Navas, but that didn't turn out to be the case.

Bale knows he isn't wanted by Zidane but refuses to make his exit easy. Florentino Perez is hoping there will be interest from the Premier League this summer but it feels like a sad exit for one of the team's most important players in recent years.
