The Real Madrid coach was disappointed with Monday's performance

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane could not hide his disappointment after his side were held to a 1-1 draw by Leganes on Monday.

"I didn't like the first half [performance]," he told beIN Sports. "In the second half we were much better and in the end we got the draw.

"I don't have anything else to say. We can do much better, for sure. The sensations aren't good, but they're not bad, either, because we drew in the end. [Leganes] don't give much away, especially at home."

Zidane admitted that "we know we don't have anything to play for this season. We've been training well for eight or nine days, but we didn't play a great game. We've got six matches left and we will try to do better in the next one. I'm going to say the same until the end."

The Madrid coach explained that "I had to speak in the dressing room, but in the end they're the ones who are on the pitch. We did better. We were too slow in the first half and it was impossible to created danger. After the break, the ball circulation improved."

And he concluded by saying that "I am sure we will improve this season -- and in this one, we're going to try and stop going behind in games."
