Xabi Alonso cleared of three counts of tax fraud
The ex Real Madrid man is innocent as his case was cleared in the Spanish capital
Xavi Alonso was cleared of tax fraud in a Madrid court Tuesday.
The former Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich midfielder retired in 2017 but was accused of defrauding the Spanish tax office by 2 million euros between 2010-12.
Alonso did not accept a bargain and maintained his innocence which was eventually proven. He risked a five year jail sentence and a 4 million euro fine.
