The young Brazilian star says he had other offers on the table but only had eyes for Real Madrid

Vinicius Junior has been presented as a new player for Real Madrid on the famous stage at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Brazilian player has undergone all the common acts which are part of the whole presentation package. He first signed his new contract alongside Florentino Perez, later gave his first words as a Madrid player and produced some tricks out on the Bernabeu pitch.

The Brazilian starlet posed with his new shirt, although he doesn't have a shirt number yet, alongside his father, uncle, agent and godfather, in football terms, Ronaldo Nazario. Madrid's new player explained how excited he was to try his hand in Europe. "It's the best opportunity a footballer can have," he admitted. Vinicius later promised that he would do everything in his power to show that he deserved a place in the first team squad.

Vinicius says he is "fortunate" to have been able to choose Real Madrid amongst other offers on the table. He was clearly very grateful to Real Madrid and spoke fondly of them at every opportunity. The player, who recently turned 18, said "I'm on top of the world" and he hopes to be there for a long time.

Later on Vinicius was asked about joining up with his fellow countryman Neymar at Real Madrid. The player, who despite his young age is well aware how comments can be interpreted, said it would be a dream to play alongside the PSG Man. "I'll play alongside him soon, if God so wishes." He quickly added: ".. For Brazil," to ease any potential fallout. When asked if Vinicius had anything that Neymar didn't, he calmly brushed the question away. "That's something for the coaches and journalists to decide, not me. I shouldn't say anything, only play football."
