Tottenham will tie down their star forward because they don't want him to go to Madrid

Tottenham are not happy. They are delighted for their talisman Harry Kane and his record-breaking exploits, but they are afraid that Real Madrid will strike for him.

With Barcelona 14 points ahead of Madrid in La Liga, Los Blancos may turn to the market to try and bring in players to cut that gap. So Tottenham are putting together an anti-Madrid plan for Kane.

The idea is they will offer the forward a salary rise he can't refuse. Per the Daily Star, even though Kane already earns 5.5m euros a year, Daniel Levy's strategy is to anticipate Madrid's strike by bumping it up. Kane's current deal runs until 2022.
